Sound and Narrative Design overview


For the sound, I want the game to have a futuristic aesthetic to it, so I'd like to include a lot of synthesized sound effects and music. Things like robotic chatter, machines whirring, there's always this metallic feel around everything. Sound references would be Portal and the more recent Hitman games.

The Narrative has the player taking the role of a Pit Boss at a crooked casino. You need to find cheaters and protect the casino's interests, but this involves some dirty work as well. During your shift, you encounter a woman who gives you an option to bring down the casino by collecting evidence. The narrative is meant to tell the story of the player's character, Marvin. Marvin is a man with a dark past, and the casino is blackmailing him with it. His personal safety, as well as the safety of his wife and child are at stake. The story will have you interact with members of the casino, you'll get a small window into each of the people's lives, and why they ended up at the casino.
